Hey guys! You all deserve an explanation on how our main summer event is going, Summer Rush & the Willowbend Grand Prix. I want to start off by apologizing about how this event went, and the servers lack of involvement/interesting things that happened vs what happened last year. Availability really took a toll on a lot of things this year, and that's not to make any excuses, but rather explain the process behind it all. I also tried calling this event off prior to its public release because I was not confident in what was presented to me - but I took a step of further trust. Additionally, I was not involved in this years Summer Rush event as much as I was last year, due to the nature of the 'Racing' theme. This was because I have no knowledge on racing, and put my trust into other people who knew a lot more about this subject. The idea was there, but the execution wasn't able to be verified by me directly, so I apologize for any inconsistencies that occurred. If we plan to do this again next year, I know where we went wrong, and know where to adjust for future help.

Obviously, there's an elephant in the room. We had the Willowbend Grand Prix scheduled for August 1st when we announced this event. Due to the difficulties that were raised during the first race, or "test" race, we were unable to continue to host the series of races. Due to that, our Willowbend Grand Prix that was scheduled for August 1st, this weekend, has been delayed until further notice. We have spent the last few weeks improving the existing Willowbend Grand Prix to make it more enjoyable for everyone, and plan to host the Willowbend Grand Prix as it's own separate event within the next 1-2 months. The initial event format will remain similar: all registered teams will still be registered & the championship game-style ranking will remain the same! I want to make sure that this event is EXACTLY what the Official Greenville Roleplay team thrives for - quality & consistency. You will be seeing a custom map, live streams, live leaderboards, and more! 

I understand that many of you may be sad, disappointed, or discouraged because a lot of you spent a ton of time gathering your teams, making your graphics/logos, and getting custom shirts made. I exhausted every possible option for this to continue, but it simply is not ready for the full OGVRP experience. Your creativity got the attention of the entire Greenville development team. I was pleased to show them all of it & the idea we had behind it. It was truly incredible. Due to your creativity, a little birdie told me that there's a chance we could be getting clearance for OGVRP to use an official racing feature before releasing it to the main game! Please stick with us while we work to make sure this event is exactly what you hope for, and we will return to it being better than before.
